NEW Wedding Stationery Trends
Here are some hot ideas of how to can make your stationery especially unique and memorable!
Gold!
Gold has made a comeback in fashion and accessories. Not only gold finishing such as ribbons and envelopes, but gold engraving on quality board, makes a real statement of luxury.
Vintage Style
The vintage look within fashion and interiors still remains strong. For a unique twist, ask Amethyst to transform a wallpaper or accessory design special to you into a complete collection of stationery. Or alternatively ask us to create your very own unique pattern.
Modern Monograms
Monograms are getting a makeover! Amethyst use stylistic elements such as elaborate ampersands and the Bride and Groom's initials as inspiration for an updated look.
Grey is the new silver
Think matt and dusky, rather than metallic and sparkly! It's ultra-cool and especially unique when teamed in a modern way with oceanic blue or fushia pink. The look is softer than black or brown and can be carried in small detail through out your complete wedding style.
Unexpected colours
Modern couples are putting a new spin on the traditional stationery by using bright and bold colour. Look around you for inspiration, such as zingy citrus colours, orange or apple green, or put a twist on a more formal design such as a damask print in raspberry red or lime green!
Smaller and understated
Not only popular for cutting down on paper useage, a pocketsized order of service makes a perfect keepsake. We believe "less is more" and it's very true in the world of design and interiors, so take inspiration from this and don't feel overwhelmed by everything. Keep it simple!
Material World
Add richness by using detail. We enjoy working with quality card, high-end fabrics like silks, velvet, and various ribbons. These days, it's possible for an invitation to be printed on just about anything. Ask us about printing on non-paper products such as metal, acrylic or wood.
Signature Silhouettes
Whether it's birds perched on flowering branches or a woodsy scene of towering birch trees, silhouettes are becoming an invite classic. These shadowy designs give a refined yet whimsical touch to wedding stationery.
Double-Sided Invites
The back of a piece of paper can make a bigger impression than the front. From invitations to menu cards, two-sided stationery pieces wow guests.
Relaxed Wording
As more and more couples host their own weddings, invitation wording is changing to keep up with the trend. No longer is formal wording, beginning with the parents' names, a necessity. Instead, the invite can reflect the nature of the event.

Something blue
Inspired by the landscape and location of their wedding, this stunning and elegant design was created exclusively for the Bride and Groom by Amethyst.
The unique hand drawn ribbon reflects the coastline of south Sweden, where the wedding is set. The subtle blue and bright white, echo the beautiful and natural colours of the ocean. The design was produced using white foiling which was debossed into quality board.
The design will be translated across all the stationery for the wedding including the order of service, menu books and table plan.
